Dear SeaSky
members:
As every
old SeaSky member knows that Lieh Tang Lin has served us so well as our
VP and also as the officer in charge of our member care
team. His devotion and care for the well being of our members
is strongly felt by every member. Regrettably, due to his health
consideration and his desire to return to sing in Tai Shin (he will
continue to sing in SeaSky), he has requested that his
official duties with the SeaSky Choir be released at the
end of this September. As most of you know, SeaSky has a policy which
states that any member who also sings in another choir cannot serves
as an officer of the SeaSky. I know Lieh Tang very
well and I have a high respect for his wishes, therefore I have
reluctantly accepted his request. We thank him very much for
the great contributions he has made in the past and we wish him
well for his health and for singing in two choirs in the
future.
All the
Lieh Tang's VP responsibilities will be temporarily assumed by our another
VP Greg Ho. Greg already has many responsibilities, therefore these
additional responsibilities can become a burden for him, but
we hope this is a short term arrangement. We deeply
appreciate Greg's continuous strong commitments to the SeaSky.
I am happy
to tell you that Becky Lee has accepted the invitation to serve as the new
officer for the member care unit. Becky has been with the SeaSky for more than
a year and she is a very devoted member and has done many things for the choir.
Most importantly, she knows every member and she has a big
heart, therefore she is the best member to take charge of this demanding
position. We thank her for her willingness and our thanks also extended to her
husband Cliff. We are proud to have such devoted couple as our members.
Best wishes
for all of you!
